Well why NOT start with this.....
.........of a guy I went to high school with.....he told me "this is a GREAT band if they had a different singer".........I was hooked on John from the first listen ;D

I got into John because of that oh-so-unique voice and style he has.....not to mention the fact that I totally LOVE the music......and for two more reasons.....S4J and the song EMI!!!!

I'm not really sure how I got into the Sex Pistols, but one day, I just picked up their album and started listening to it. And now I love them. <3

Well, first of all HI THERE  So, I got hooked on the Pistols and John after watching The Filth and The Fury some 3 years ago...I couldn't believe the guy this guy talked, looked like, stared...everything. Seeing him was quite shocking, but in the best way you can imagine  And after doing some research I found out about PiL, and even though it didn't have the same impact the Pistols had in me, it was quite mind-blowing as well... |

Welcome Vicky.. you know who I am...  Err.. I got into Pistols well in 2004 ... I think becuase of some punk special that was shown on the History Channel.. I was just switching channels I think and I sae this band..... Johnny reminded me of some memeber of this band Sum 41 (the look of his body I mean...  ) I am very open minded.. so I started to do soem research about this thing called punk... not to mention that I was a HUGE Police fan back then and I still like them but the Sex Pistols changed my life..... I think I have soem punk in me.. haha oh well I remeber watching some Billy Idol`s videos on some music channel from Argentina (but that channel doesn`t seem to exist anymore) and at the same time I`d be singing and dancing to the Backstreet Boy`s songs... (well.. that was the thing to do for a teenager of the 90s  ) so that is how open minded I am... |

I got into johns music and the sex pistols since the 1st time I heard EMI. It was the best thing I had ever heard. I did some research and found johns character to be very appealing and the rest is history…. Here I am now on a board speaking to other John fans. New here by the way. -stef |

I got into johns music and the sex pistols since the 1st time I heard EMI. It was the best thing I had ever heard. I did some research and found johns character to be very appealing and the rest is history…. Here I am now on a board speaking to other John fans. New here by the way. -stef WELCOME to the board Stef  We all love John here and I think you will find just the right combination of info and just pure FAN appreciation to make you quite happy to stay EMI is such a damn good song......like John said it is "just so damn catchy"......  |

I saw rotten TV and thought john was very sexy and funny. From that I started to listen more to the Sex Pistols. I am of the MTV Generation (born in 71) so I kinda knew who they were but had not really listened to them. I like the Pistols and Pil and think his solo stuff rocks! |

One day I saw a music video. It was "Something Else", And I saw Sid dancing around in his underpants and I totally fall in love. Since that day the Sex Pistols have been my favorite band! So do you consider yourself more led towards Sid than John? What I always liked about "Something Else" was the fact that in both the song and in the video Sid was just like any other kid emulating a favorite song and dreaming to be a rock star....I loved that about him |

It's weird, but I don't know.
I was probably searching through my dad's MP3's and found Anarchy in the UK and I thought: What a nice song. X'D
But they scared the shit outta me when I was little. They sounded creeeepy. xO

I think I got into John from my dad aswell, ha. I went through his old record collection one day, and I was really interested by the cover of Never Mind the Bollocks, so I played it and thought it was brilliant. And then I just, watched the Filth and the Fury, and I found John to be such an interesting person, and like, kind of attractive in a really strange way.
