Yeah, stick around, Pud, we are glad to have you... ......especially since you contributed some beautiful pictures from Saturday night's show Even if you don't like the "female" oriented ways of the board, we are worth it for the most and best pictures of John all in one place on the internet

Really pud *giggle* you don't want to ohh and ahh over John? Seriously though a lot of what's discussed is just general music/Pistols/John stuff

Really pud *giggle* you don't want to ohh and ahh over John? Seriously though a lot of what's discussed is just general music/Pistols/John stuff I've been 'in love' with the Pistols as long as I can remember, but NOT in a physical way if you know what I mean!! I joined the board after meeting Liz at Saturday nights concert in London and promised to post some pic's I took, I did not expect the board to be so female orientated!! Not that I am allergic to the fairer sex, it's just that all this drooling over Mr Lydon makes me feel that perhaps I shouldn't be here! However I have enjoyed reading many of your posts, and I think I'll stick around a little longer. For what it's worth I thought John was on TOP form on Sat night, I last saw the Pistols play at Finsbury Park, 10 years ago and John looked in better condition and more energetic on Sat than he did all those years ago. The rest of the band were fairly lifeless in their approach to the gig in my opinion, which was a shame considering Sat night was being filmed for a DVD release! I have had the pleasure of meeting Cookie and Glen on several occasions, and their need for privacy seems to show somewhat on stage! As for Steve, he is staying with a friend of mine during the tour, I beleive he would have swapped his guitar for a pair of slippers and a cocoa any day of the week! Bless him!! This is in no way a slagging of the band because the overall effect was nothing short of brilliant!! It appears that they have had some bad press here in England, but what's new? Pistols and bad press go together, I just wish these arsehole critics would interview each and every one of the people attending the show and write a review based on their opinion! Then things would be different!! I would also like to say that Liis makes the most comfortable cushion and protected me all night from being crushed against the barrier!! So thanks Liis (poor girl, did feel for her really!!) Photo shows her head just below my arm!!

Thanks for the great review and photo. And do stick around, Noir...
There's room here for all opinions, not just from the female P.O.V. Many of us have been fans of the band's music for a long time. The Pistols came on my personal radar screen in '77. So we do have lots to discuss, debate, review, etc.

Thanks for the review Pud......I agree with it. John was definitely in TOP form Love the other guys but it was really really hard to take my eyes off of John The people that slag them off didn't need to waste precious tickets and space with their presence in my opinion

Welcome pud! I didn't get the chance to thank you at the gig, but couldn't have asked for a better person to stand infront of , I'm one of the few (if not only) lucky ones who didn't get a single bruise or a scratch! Your comments about the show are spot on, especially the one about Steve, made me laugh my *ss off.

I think Steve still had the flu right? I know I would never be on top form with the flu. I would probably just stand up there and sneexe a lot. I don't know what people expect really. I think it is odd that people want the Pistols to stay 19 years old and never change. I'm glad they are out there having a great time. On VH1 classics this week they aer running the greatest frontmen of all time. I am curious to see if John made it as he is a GREAT front man. I actually got into the Pistols off and on over time but the 94 Documentary really got me into them. And the scene with John crying over sid really made me want to know more about John Lydon. He had just always been protrayed so differently then he came off in the documentary that I was interested in what else about the band had been crap stories and lies....turns out quiet a lot!

Yeah, I heard Steve was sick for the shows bless his heart. I wonder if its account of the fact that since he lives in sunny southern California, he's no longer used to the colder/rainer London weather. I'm sporting a bit of a sniffle on account of the fact that the temp. fell to 59 or so the other night. Doesn't matter that I'm originally from the northeast - my internal thermostat just can't take cooler much less cold weather anymore! BRRRRRRR break out the space heater and the Nyquil!!!!!!!!!!

(Apart from put my elbow into the skinhead dickheads face when I saw him do the same to you!! ) It was nice to meet you, and I am sorry that we had to run after the show but we had to get back to King's Cross for the last train of the night, otherwise it would have been a cold night on the streets!! You were very quiet on the night, having read your listings though I am pleased that you enjoyed the show!!

He actually gets the flu a lot. :S He has a pretty weak immune system, i think, because he seems to always have some cold/flu/illness. Plus, he had the flu during the TV interviews and during the Roxy show so ... Bless him for really just being present! And Welcome Pud! It's okay. Some people are a little more obsessed with enthusiastic about John than others.

Well obviously I am one of those "overly enthusiastic" for John...but I have come to accept this and in fact be proud of it I thought Jonesy did great, as did GLEN and Cookie, loved seeing everyone, wouldn't have been the same without them.... ....Johnny gets the flu alot too, what IS it with those boys and getting sick
