Due to many members joining but never posting, we have, for now at least, made the Pictures Section viewable by password to those that post only. The reason for this is simple. Many of the people who have posted pictures have posted copy written pictures for our viewing pleasure and if they don't know who the people taking a look are, they are a little nervous about leaving their pictures up. Another reason for this is of course, we want to be sure that our members are friends and not foes.......in other words, not here just to take the pictures but never speak to, thank, or acknowledge their fellow members........ Having said all of this, we here at P & V do realize that some people only have very limited time on line and we don't want to curtail any REAL John fan from viewing what every fan should be able to see. So all you have to do is post somewhat of an introduction and let us know who you are, participate minimally or when you can, and we will be more than happy to send you the password for the picture section. Many of John's fans have worked very hard to make our board the virtual LIBRARY of photos of John throughout his career that it is and this is how we have decided to both share AND protect their hours and hours of hard work  Any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me. If you feel you should have received the password and didn't send me a PM. We may do this with our Fan Fiction section too, what do you guys who post on it think? S4J Chief Executive Fairy Gnome |

I can't see that anyone could really do anything with my story but if you want to protect it that's fine by me.

I can't see that anyone could really do anything with my story but if you want to protect it that's fine by me. Well some people are uncomfortable posting sexual fantasies (I am not implying your story is that, but some stories people had posted previously were) about famous people and having guys read them   I don't post on the thread anymore though, so if nobody has a problem we will leave as is... ....just trying to encourage our creative members to all come forward with no worries  |

Yeah.. that was a good idea... some people just come for the pictures...so I thoght that would eb great.. you want to see the pictures.. POST SOMETHING ON THE BOARD AND COOPERATE

ok, I didn't post anything to this community just because I never had really the time to write anything since I signed. I know I should so I'll try to be more cooperative...I'm not a leech or so and I'm not really a foe (god, a foe?why?), and I would like post some pictures I have but I didn't just because I didn't find out yet how to do that (oooh, sorry for the bad english, I'm italian)....and I'm too lazy to learn....tehe sorry anyway. I'm livia, nice too meet you all.

How to post pictures, first, it would be helpful to make a photobucket account (www.photobucket.com) - it's free and can be helpful in other areas of the internet, not just here. All you have to have is an e-mail address to sign up. You just upload your photos to your photobucket account and post the link with the [IMG*] [/*IMG] tags around it (minus the *'s). You can practice by posting or pasting pictures into your signature, and seeing if it works. Again welcome!! |

Hello, I’m Ren and I joined the site a while ago now. I used to visit a bit, because it’s really cool here. But I never took the time to introduce myself. I suppose because my English wasn’t so good back then, and maybe I didn’t so much appreciate the effort everyone put in to posting their beautiful pictures. Like, you mentioned copyright and stuff. I wasn’t very aware.
Anyway, I guess I’ll be more active from now on, and try find some photographs to post.

It might be a good idea to do so. Why? Because: 1.) as flattering as we think it is to John, he might not agree and his management might consider it defamation of character; and 2.) anyone can steal anything and post it into any number of music fan fiction sites.
As a fan fiction writer for many years, I know for a fact that there have been writers sued after posting content to the internet by management companies (specifically regarding writing based on Anne Rice or Stephen King) Not to say that John would do this, but you never know what he might think or what his management might think.
