I was in my home country over the Christmas holidays and came back to England and found a HUGE and heavy package waiting for me, guess what?  I haven't been able to tell you about it yet and I've had loads of things to do at Uni and I still do so this will just be a short "review"! Anyway, it's a really fantastic book, I will go through it page by page and literally read EVERY single word carefully later when I find time. I was surprised that he included so many private, personal photos, especially of his wife Nora (from the 70s, wow she was stunning, and more recent photos!) <3 and grandchildren whom I haven't seen many pictures of before, he has tried to keep that part of his life rather private I guess, it was really great!  And his sense of humour is in there as always...I didn't get a golden ticket but a picture of him showing off his belly and tits LOOOL! I cherish that more  Hopefully I can tell you more later and show a picture or something! |

I have ordered the book now! I'm sooo excited, can't wait til' it arrives. I know that it's fucking expensive but I couldn't prevent myself..

Sorry I haven't posted sooner - I received my copy a couple of weeks ago. Big book & so much to go through I really haven't had a chance to go through it all.
The book is so big & heavy that scanning photos won't be easy. However, there is one photo of Mr. Stevens in uniform that I know I need to get copied & posted here. Hopefully I'll be able to do that soon.
No gold ticket - but that's OK.
Only disappointment for me is that, based on quick run through the book, there aren't any pictures inside Gunter Grove. I was hoping for some interior shots to help me finish off the mini-Gunter Grove dollhouse. Guess I'll have to go with what I already have & my own imagination.
Will try to post more info from the book later.

I'm clinging on to the vain hope that one day it will come out in shortened form for a fraction of the price, or something... but it's unlikely I guess  As someone who is fascinated by John as a person away from PiL, the Pistols etc, and intrigued by his 30-year relationship with a seemingly bizarre woman who no-one seems to know very much about, it would just about make my whole LIFE to see pics from this book, especially of Nora with or without John (needless to say, I couldn't afford/justify it for myself ) |

Just thought I'd point this out, as I missed this myself... on JL.com page there's a link to some sample pages, if you scroll down wait for the page to load you can actually 'turn pages' of the scrapbook... not all of them obviously but quite a few, there's a couple of Nora pics I hadn't seen and some of John and Rambo too. HOWEVER I would still love to see scans pleeeeease!
