Laying in bed in hospital (don't worry folks, I'm okay), I turn on the television to BBC1 and what did I see? A nice treat of Johnny guesting on The One Show for the full thirty minute duration.
He talked in depth about his background, his past, his book (obviously), animals, politics, music, etc. He seemed in much better spirits than he was at the NME awards. Did anyone else catch it? Thoughts?

I thought this was an okay interview, it's simultaneousy funny and cringeworthy to see how scared and useless these airhead TV chat show presenters are when dealing with John... I don't know if anyone else thought that but it really seemed (as it often does ) that they didn't really know what to do with him, even though he was hardly difficult or rude... I agree that he seems in much better spirits than at the NME awards, though as I said elsewhere it was probably just the shock of winning, if that's the first time he found out. Plus I'm guessing that's one of the first times he's spoken at length about Ari, and the scrapbook as a deeply personal thing must make him emotional anyway. That was one of the first big public events he's been to for a while too, wasn't it? All those things combined must have made him a bit wobbly I was really hoping they'd show some pictures that I hadn't seen, a couple were new to me but I'd seen that one of Johnny and Nora from the NME awards, and the black-and-white one of Nora is on the sample pages on the book's website. I *wish* I could read what he wrote next to the picture of him and Nora that you see on the TV screen at one point during the interview, agh hopefully someone here who has the book might be kind enough to upload it...
