I met someone online who used to work in the music business. He told me that he once worked in the London office of EMI records, at the same time the Sex Pistols were signed by that label.
Well, my friend was working in the office on a particular project, when all of a sudden there was a general uproar: people panicking, secretaries screaming, etc. He looked up, glanced out the large plate-glass windows surrounding the office, and saw a young Johnny Rotten inching his way around the outside of building, teetering on a six-inch-wide ledge. My friend said the office was about 10 stories up.
He also said it was quite obvious that John was very drunk; apparently he really frightened the people at EMI!
Just a personal anecdote to share about Mr. Lydon.
