On to Friday. Elisabeth and I met the guy that sold us our tickets at a pub around the corner from Brixton. We were not particularly happy that THIS show was going to be from a great distance......we were in the circle. That translates to the balcony. To make matters worse, when we arrived upstairs, we found that the two best rows were reserved We were like WTF Then after we calmed down, and took our seats behind the two reserved rows........DIRECTLY behind them......we wondered who those rows were reserved for. I thought the press, but Elisabeth wondered if maybe for family? The thought hadn't really occurred to me, but now that she said it....made sense Sooooooo, needless to say I watched those rows like a hawk Well just after the opening band (The Thirst...a huge improvement over The Cribs) finished and the DJ dude was still annoying everyone, here came some people to sit there. I thought I recognized Cookie's wife, and sure enough, here came his daughter Holly and some of her friends. Then I saw the tall blonde in the orange skirt. Nora? Quickly I jabbed Elisabeth and was like "Is that Nora?!? " It was. She sat down with a newspaper ( ) two seats below us!! I was completely flabbergasted <---is this a word? All I could think about was....OMG He is going home with her.....she is going home with HIM
John came on. He had on the BLUE shirt.........the button down blue shirt he wore under the striped suit on Fuse.......I was just ......flat AND Rammy wore his Prison Pants If I had died at that moment life would have not been in vain Even though we were much farther away from John than we wanted to be, he put on a HELLUVA show. AND we got to watch Miss Nora's reaction to her Man. She bopped along with most every song and even waved at him when he said "Has anyone seen my Baby?" before singing Bodies (I bet she wasn't aware that was what he was leading up to ) I yelled for Rammy as loud as I possibly could every time he left the stage with John but naturally he couldn't hear me way the hell up there John peeled off (or rather ripped off ) his PiL over shirt so that he was down to just the blue button down and you better KNOW that brought us up out of the seat. It is a weird feeling to s-cream at another woman's husband when she is within earshot is alls I can say
THIS show was BEYOND excellent, once again the band delivered, and John was SUPERB........if anyone says different they are either lying or just damn dumb.....
