GEEEEEEZ.... ........I hope they do some smaller shows too... ......I don't want to pay that kind of money, plus the travel overseas expense, and then hardly be able to SEE them on the stage

According to John's site: "Looks like someone let the cat out the bag, but yes, the Sex Pistols will probably be headlining some major festivals next year. Sweden and Isle of Wight have already been announced. Which is news to Mr Rotten More talks are underway, and as soon as you can hear it from the horses mouth, you will.
Until then as John would say, you can peace off… . "Sounds like they are jumping the gun saying this Isle of Wight show is definite. But good to know that they are talking about more shows. Maybe there is some hope for shows in the US. Joan

Sex Pistols join festival line-upSaturday, 1 December 2007The Sex Pistols recently completed a UK tourVeteran punk rockers The Sex Pistols are to headline next year's Isle of Wight music festival alongside rock band The Police. The Sex Pistols will top the bill on the Saturday night. The festival runs over three days from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 June. The band, whose hits include God Save the Queen and Pretty Vacant, recently completed a UK tour. The Police are set to headline the festival on the final night. Tickets go on general sale at 0900GMT on 10 December. The Sex Pistols are also listed as headliners at the Peace & Love Festival in Borlänge, Sweden in June next year. The band's album Never Mind The Bollocks... Here's the Sex Pistols caused uproar when it was released in October 1977. But it was one of the defining records of the punk movement and is now recognised as one of the most influential albums in rock history. Radiohead are also rumoured to be playing the Isle of Wight next year but it has yet to be confirmed. The Police reformed earlier this year and embarked on a successful world tour. The tour is set to continue next year with the band heading for New Zealand, Australia and Japan before returning to Europe in June.

Looks like it is official. According to John's site: "On Virgin Radio this morning John confirmed the Sex Pistols will be headlining the Isle of Wight Festival on Saturday, June 14th 2008.
There's a difference between things being announced, and things being confirmed. i's have to be dotted, and t's need to be crossed. Now they are. Stay tuned…

now that is confirmed, and the Loch Lomond one is one, looks like i will get to see the pistols play an open air gig in my country this year, one way of another EDIT: man this website has some weird smileys....i was trying to do the wink
