SEX PISTOLS PLAN NEW SONGS
The SEX PISTOLS are set to record their first new material in 30 years after being spurred on by the success of their recent reunion tour. The legendary rockers got back on stage for a series of live dates last year (07) and the positive reaction from fans has convinced them to start work new tracks. The group hope to start recording in the first half of 2008 so that the new songs will be ready for their appearance at the Isle of Wight Festival in June (08). Drummer Paul Cook says, "There's talk of new material. The only problem is that it's a bit hard to work on anything as John (Lydon) and Steve (Jones) are in America and Glen (Matlock) and I are in the U.K.. so it's a case of finding the time to get together. "We might not pull together an album but hopefully there will be some new stuff in time for the summer."

I would be glad if the Sex Pistols did another record.. why not?? some poeple say that Sex Pistols did good with NMTB and that they shouldn`t do another record coz that would ruin them.. I don`t think that would happen  And if they ever did a record.. I`ll buy it right away  |

YES YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope it happens... I'd love to hear some new Sex Pistols songs. If it actually happens I'll be dying of curiosity till I do! GOOD NEWS! |

I was at Manchester it was great...one of the clips a guy has on there was filmed using the big screens,this person has the whole footage but wont trade it for anything but rare GnR stuff!! |

Will it be new songs or not? This is one year old news and I still haven't heard anything about the Pistols doing new songs.

Will it be new songs or not? This is one year old news and I still haven't heard anything about the Pistols doing new songs. Keep checking out www.johnlydon.com They will have the most up to date info If it ain't there it aint confirmed  |

Hm...I wonder about this, I know John didn't want to do any new songs, but Steve sure did. I would buy it, but I don't know what to think about it...it would be kinda weird maybe. But they are good at playing!!

Well I think if you expect them to be stuck in 1977 or 76, then you would be disappointed. However, if you see them as I do, as musicians with much talent, you won't worry about how they compare to the past and will just accept them as they are now. They would be contributing artistically from a place 30 years beyond the punk era. And because I think they are all very wonderful musicians and talents, I know I would love whatever music they produced . I wish all their "fans" would feel that way....  .....dammit  |

Yes, that's true, they are talented musicians now, it'd be great! When I was like 13, and first heard the "new" Pistols I thought it was strange but now I have matured (haha) and I am used to hearing them playing live, so...if John changes his mind about doing a new album, they should GO FOR IT!!! They deserve some goddamn attention |
