Sex Pistols to play city gig
The Sex Pistols have announced a Birmingham date for their 2008 tour – the first time they have played in the city for 32 years.
The anarchic punk rockers will play a gig at Birmingham Academy on June 11. Tickets, priced £37.50, go on sale at 9am on Friday.
It is being billed as a warm up for their appearance at the Isle of Wight Festival.
The Sex Pistols formed in London in 1975.
The original line-up of Johnny Rotten (Lydon), Steve Jones, Glen Matlock and drummer Paul Cook reunited for seven live shows last year for a tour called Holidays in the Sun 2007.
