Yay! I've been waiting for this subject (obviously not enough though to make one myself : P) Jonesy's jukebox (and the Jonesy's jukebox jury) is that special time during the day (or night in my timezone) when no-one is allowed to bother me with anything. I bet most of you are familiar with this link, because i think it's been mentioned on the s-p.net board quite many times, but just in case, a place where you can download the podcasts of jonesy's show: odeo.com/channel/39074/view+ the streaming link just in case: www.indie1031.fm/listenlive.phpFor some reason though, since the Jonesy's jukebox jury started, there aren't any podcasts of Jonesy's regular show available, which is sad, like for instance I think the Cliff Richards one would have been a nice treat. I have to vote ''hot spicy mustard'' on that show!

I only heard half of the show, but I have to give today's episode pants, MC Hammer's pants! It was a horrible mistake to have 4 chicks on the jury. My favorite show so far has been when Henry Rollins was on the jury, I think it was episode 6 (BTW Henry has a show on indie too, but i haven't heard it ) Actually up until last Friday I've liked all the episodes but it has been kind of downhill from there, hope it's only temporary though. But that pants-mustard thing is clever, me and my soulmate used to use the word 'pants' to refer to things we didn't like long before the JJJ started so it made me laugh out loud when I heard that he was using it too. But Jonesy himself is great!

That "pants" and "mustard" thing is new to me but I like it I am going to start using that here now (and will probably be on the news locked up ).............I would have LOVED to have heard the show with Rollins, Henry ROCKS......I bet he and Jonesy were great together! I can't wait until I can start listening.......

I highly recommend this link: www.chriswasanon.blogspot.com They post transcripts most of the time (it's been a bit dead for a while, probably because of no podcasts, etc...) so you can go back and read especially good excerpts from older shows. quite fun. and they have links to other blogs & websites that describe the show daily (I recommend the link to Jade's page... I can't remember it myself or the title of the link, but Look for Jade lol) I've listened to it a few times... and I listened to it quite a bit when I was in LA during December (however my main focus was on Disneyland. I can only focus on one obsession at the time & Disneyland is easier to plan than Stalking Somebody). Oh and I used to be able to listen to the show with Dial Up. It took a long time to load and paused at random times, but I could get bits at pieces of it. Which is better than nothin I guess lol.

Can't wait to check that link out, thank you for posting it, I've been a bit frustrated about not hearing the older shows, I'd really like to get a transcript of the show where he had TQTBaTQ on with Pete Townsend. I can relate to getting only bits and pieces of the show, I don't have a dial up, just a very crappy connection and it tends to fail on me when Jonesy starts, but it's worth it! : )

I listen to it sometimes. Because I live in the Netherlands and it's at 9 p.m. - 11 p.m. so I miss it most of the time. But I loved the one with John, of course.

The concept of Steve's show is great. It's so unique how Steve gets to play songs he picks out himself. Every other radio d.j.'s music is preselected by somebody else. So packaged and boring. What about his spontaneous sense of humor? Steve, after all, is the one who gave us the classic"what a f****** rotter" line on live TV. He does not disappoint on Jonsey's jukebox. One of my favorite shows was the one he did with the tribute band, the Sex Pistols Experience, who I feel are quite good. They were so nervous about meeting Jonsey, what he might think about their act, what he might say. Steve of course was very gracious. During one part, the band tells Steve they went to Longhorn's and Steve discusses a few memories from '78. Steve also had them sing a couple Sex Pistols songs live acoustically. I loved when they did "Silly Thing" with Steve singing lead. (He referred to them as "The Steve Jones Experience!"). At the end of the song Steve joked and said "Why am I so good?? I don't understand it!!" The man wasn't kidding. He sounded as good as when it first sang it. Here's the link t the Sex Pistols Experience page where you can hear it for yourself. Click on Jonsey's jukebox on the left side of the page just above where it says "Forum" ( bonus, go to the bottom of the page, you'll see a picture from another Jonsey's jukebox show of a guest we all know and love!!) www.sexpistolsexperience.co.uk/start.htm

Steve is so funny, Kathy, you're right. He's hilarious. Have you checked out his myspace profile? He gets these weird obsessions and they show in his default picture. lol right now it's Hawaiian theme because him and Cookie... ARE IN HAWAII. Wasn't sure if anyone was aware.
