Poor Steve....I think he looks really bad in the video. No offense to him, I love him dearly, but he looks EXHAUSTED the entire video.  And yes, the pink outfit is QUITE disturbing. But have you seen the picture Steve has on his myspace??? It's him wearing a shirt with a big strawberry on it. I'd say its worse than a pink outfit, lol. |

Uuuu, they both were quite cute. And somehow, I don't know why, Steve looks like a better version of Sid. And Cook is fantastic. Love the hair, love the face, love the fucking clothes, everything. Great video.

I came across this video a couple of weeks ago, it's much better than the Swindle one...plus Steve's version's better I think...
You're right mishhell, Steve looks as if he's running out of steam right there and then, wonder if he had already started using heroin... :S
(I've come to the conclusion I use WAAY too much emoticons, sorry)

I remember I read an interview where he said he'd started using heroin about a year before they started filming the Rock'n' Roll Swindle, which would have been 78' or 79'. He told this story about how he was filming the scene where he meets the voice coach (when he's looking in the window) and he felt really sick while he was doing it, and so they stopped shooting for the day and he went home and realized he was addicted to it already. :[ Although I love love love love love Steve's voice (speaking and singing), I actually really like the version that Cookie sings. Why? Because Cookie NEVER got to do anything and he FINALLY got to be heard. lol. I think Cookie was very aware that he sounded like crap and he was like "you know what fuck it i'm a drummer and i never get attention - i'm DOING this." |

That's an interesting point about Cookie finally getting a bit of the limelight. It's true that while it was John this or Sid that, good old Paul was back there drumming away like a pro from day one, no matter whatever drama was going on in front of him. Paul did get his day in the sun a little with the Pistols - he was front and center during an studio version of Anarchy, and wearing John's famous or infamous "I hate pink floyd" tee to boot! He could really work that thing! Yes, this is the version of the video John has included on his British Pound Notes DVD compilation.....I LOVE his little blonde thin self in this video......and yes he does know how to work a mic  But I like his hands being free on stage too cause he gets pretty risque sometimes now  ........and of course I love to watch him drag on a cigarette  As to Cookie, I love seeing him up front and center and I LOVE him in this video (Silly Thing)......so cute and so Tiger Beat Star (or maybe Leopard Beat Star in that shirt ) Jonesy looked like he was trying to give the same impression but he just can't do Cookie's wide blue eyed innocent looks.....Jonesy LEERS |
