Nah.. but oh well.. shame things often get misinterpreted online, tho I guess it's to be expected quite a bit on forums.  anyway, thought i'd have a bit of fun and join in, i'm in agreement with you lot but also adding to the discussions, is all. not to take seriously.  I like a good laugh and hilarity..tho this is really a one off for me. I'm surprsied why people make such a big deal of my one post. golly. Bye bye and enjoy. kisses loads of love ruby. |

Well Ruby, we here at P&V try to reply to every post someone takes the time to make on here. Naturally when we see someone make a post where we can't really tell if we have offended them or not, we try to explain ourselves as well as the intent of this board (just fun and love for John and company). Cook was a... "good boy", always looking quiet...maybe shy. so cute. not agressive or revolutoniary.

Here's my contribution: Why is this man ignored? By Kathy  1. A bit too practical. Had a difficult deciding whether to be an apprentice electrician or a member of one of the most influential bands of all time. By contrast, no one had to ask Sid twice. Hey, even sensible Glen, with his promising career in sales, had no problem quitting his day job! 2. Cute, but when you boil down to it, looks like an every day person. Answer this question...Suppose it's January '78, and you're strolling past Randy's Rodeo. Suddenly, you encounter Paul. Would you think he looked out of place there in the deep South? No, of course not. Now, rewind the scene, and replace Paul with Sid or John. Same result? 3. Never did anything downright crazy on account of being on drugs or being wasted drunk - Compare with Sid or Steve. 4. Never told off an interviewer, like John ("do you really expect me to answer all these stupid questions?"). Better yet: Grundy. Paul sat right next to him, but never uttered a syllable. The great comments flung right by Paul ("oh all right Siegfried", "you dirty sod," "he's like yer grandad this geezer"), still he never got in on the act. 5. Less classic "punk" more like the Everready bunny. Paul just keeps plugging on, no matter what disasters are going on around him. Remember Winterland? San Francisco, hippie capital of the world. People are stunned. Crap's flying on stage - dimes, quarters, trash, bottles, cameras even. Steve's blowing people's ears out. Sid's acting crazy, "shining out." John's frustration is seen in every pore of his body. In the midst of this insanity, there's good old Cookie. Drumming along, nothing's bothering him, he's doing his job. He keeps on trucking. He's, well, Cookie! Maybe it's not a bad thing...Maybe it's why we love him so! |
