Thanks for posting that link Fuggle........I had seen this in two parts....I loved some of Sid's comebacks (especially the part where he defends Nancy), and the part where he is accused of seeing the other girl in front of Nancy....  |

I have to say Snoo... This is Sid at his very worst, he even seems to be nodding off in places. He looks great and as you know, I'm a huge fan but, this is very much the pre-death Sid that most people come to associate him with. Nancy took most of the questions and Stiv Bators was pretty much non-existant. After the Sex Pistols broke up Sid surrounded himself with the dregs of New Yorks bottom of the barrell smack head punk stars. I would also say though, that in this respect, at least, he had more in common with most American punk bands (especially in New York) than the rest of the band.

I know what you mean Fug..........but.......Sid was alot worse in that interview with him and Nancy from Filth and the Fury where he passed out and dropped his lit cigarette all over her........most of that interview was like "Sid? SID!! DAMMIT SID........"   His best filmed interview I think we would all agree is the one with Julian in that movie........well at least that I have seen |

Have you ever seen the interview he did straight after he was released from jail the first time? It's the one where the interviewer asks Sid, "Are you having fun right now?", to which Sid replies, "are you kidding? No, I'm not having fun at all". The interviewer then follows with, "where would you like to be right now?" and Sid offers, "under the ground". The interviewer asks, "are you serious?" and Sid just stares blankly ahead and says, "oh yeah". Sid looks dazed and at the end of his line, it's gut wrenching stuff when you consider that shortly after this he gets his wish.

I've seen it, and I must agree it's not as bad as the interview where he's dropping cigarette ashes on Nancy, where she says, "Sid, try and wake up, they're interviewing you, not me" (something along those lines).
As for this one, I just love Sid's laugh in it!

But what's particularly chiling about the cable access show is that it was filmed only a month or so before Nancy's murder. While she's promoting these gigs coming up during during that month (September '78) I couldn't help but think she only had a few more weeks to live. |

I remember reading from her Mom that if Nancy had been the groupie that so many say she was with Sid, she would have left him when the Pistols broke up. As unconventional as it was, I really do think they loved each other |
