Thanks Joe!!! I found them really interesting to read...I could hear Johnny's tone in both of them!!! I think Mr. Snyder blew many clear-cut opportunities with Johnny however....He should have been more *prepared* so to speak....Hmm....That really enlightened me however....Thanks again for the links!!!.....  |

How sad to discover that Tom Snyder passed away yesterday.
Love him or hate him, you gotta admit that he brought a lotta punks to network TV---and even pioneered the multi-colored hairdo!

How sad to discover that Tom Snyder passed away yesterday. Love him or hate him, you gotta admit that he brought a lotta punks to network TV---and even pioneered the multi-colored hairdo! I enjoyed the interviews he did with John, even the "bad" one where I think he just wasn't listening to John all that much or hadn't done that much in preparation for what John was about. I liked watching the intervew he did with Charles Manson on youtube. Having watched more of his interviews now, he was more personable than most of the broadcasters today (at least it seems to me). Very very sad, he will be missed.  |

In honor of Tom's passing & the fact that I'll be seeing Patti Smith tomorrow night, I watched Tom's interview with Patti. Excellent interview. If it happens to be on YouTube or you can get the DVD, I recommend it.

I just discovered that a couple weeks after I posted the links to the transcripts, the entire Tom Snyder/PIL interview became available on YouTube. Here it is: Part 1. Part 2. I'm surprised it's all there, as the interview is now being sold on DVD. Watch it before somebody comes along & orders this taken down from YouTube. |

Thanks Joe. I have the Tomorrow Show DVD, but its good to see this again. Wonder if they'll ever put out another DVD with Synder's second interview with John several years later (when John was a little more grown up and actually quite pleasant with Tom).
