It's January & cold & there's snow on the ground here. I was just reading the letters to the editor in the paper & found the following one "Lazy but green" amusing. Thought you might like it as well:
"Just a quick note to say how impressed I am with our community's embrace of "green" solutions to daily problems like the recent snowfall and icy conditions. Now that we're mostly too fat and lazy to clear our sidewalks, you don't see Pittsburghers resorting to noisy, wasteful, gas-guzzling gimmicks like snow blowers. No, we use solar energy. You know, don't do anything; eventually the sun will melt it."

If there's any PTO time left, why not head east toward Philly, pick up the interstate, and drive south 1200 miles? It was blue skies, sunny, and 75 degrees today - the kids surfed, the hubby golfed, and I, well err um, shopped at the air conditioned mall?!?

Kathy,
A holiday in the sun may be what I need. Hope you are having a good vacation.
Johnnysgirl, South American sounds great - I've never been there. However, I sent my passport in for renewal, so no leaving the country until that makes its way back.
Actually it hasn't been too bad of a winter here - not that much snow - we haven't needed to shovel, so far we've been able to drive over whatever has come down (even in the Miata). And it hasn't been below 20 (degrees F) too many days (though this last week hit the single digits several days in a row). But, no real complaints. Plus only one more week to see what the groundhog has to say!

Okay so I live in buffalo, NY which is about 10min from the Canadian border. What I'm getting at is it gets F***ing cold up here. Most of Feb our temp stays at -2 to -4. Someday I will move to somewhere warm. Think Johnny has any room at his place?

Well, here in my country it´s winter but there´s never snow in my city... so there is no difference if it´s winter, spring, summer or fall because here is always as hot as hell, and I´m not kidding, the other day I recived an e-mail and it said that we people that live in Monclova Coahuila are the only people that can say without faint-- Oh, our temperature today is 52 degrees... But this winter is going fine, at least it´s a bit cold, but when you talk about snow and cold I wish I could be there!! It seems we´re never happy with what we have

So last night it snowed like 5 inches in Idaho...Idaho is basically a desert. WTF? I have to walk to my badminton class in this. :S (Yes, I have a badminton class. It's A++, although the teacher takes it a little to seriously.)

It does not know what it wants to do outside. At the beginning of this month, there were thunderstorms that knocked out the power. Then, we kept getting snow every few days. Today it rained a lot, and supposedly its going to snow again (big surprise).
