Johnnysgirl gave me the idea with her post of just having a thread where we can pay respects to this man for having our John. Without Mr. Lydon, where would we be. We salute you sir, you will be missed. Johnny, our hearts and our love are with you and your family........

I know that wherever he is, it is a beautiful place - which he deserves for raising 4 very successful sons. He loved his family and enjoyed his life, no matter what difficulties faced him. He stood by his sons no matter what - but pushed them when they needed pushed. Rest in Peace, John Sr.

John Lydon Sr was obviously a very devoted and much loved father. My heart goes out to John and his three brothers as they deal with their loss. May they find peace and solace in their memories of their father and his love for them.

John Sr. was very devoted to his children, and our John loved him so very much. I am sad to think of the pain John must be experiencing now, having lost both his beloved parents. I imagine Nora is a great comfort to him right now...hopefully, he will also find comfort in remembering the good times he shared with his father. John - my thoughts and prayers are with you...RIP John Lydon, Sr.

So sad really... and too bad John had to leave this world just before Johnny`s birthday... Mish... I just bet John sr is happy up there coz he joined his wife Eileen so he`s in the best place now... Johnny I`m with you in this And to John`s widow.. TELL YOUR FUCKING SON TO GET A LIFE IF JOHN DIDN`T WANT HIM TO LIVE THERE THEN HIS WORD HAD TO BE RESPECTED... (sorry what what I`ve last said but I felt the need to say it... coz I bet that article was a bit exagerated but I doubt it..)

I'm sorry that his dad's girlfriend talked to the SUN about any family problems!

I was thinking about John and John Sr. today and remembered a story Johnny told about when he was still living at home as a teen. One day, he turned up at home with his hair dyed a shocking bright color. His dad took one look at Johnny and said something like "get out the house brocolli head!" John cracked up laughing while telling the story..he talked about that common scenario involving most kids & parents: You truly appreciate them and all they do for you after you leave the house and make your own way in the real world.
Anyway, the manner in which John told the story made me realize just how much he loved his father...Hopefully, he's remembering the good times they shared and is comforted by the happy memories.

Ahh, yeah, "get out the house, you fucking cabbage". It's kind of like, a gaelgah saying. John's dad sounds like he must've been a grand character, and I hope he's at peace now.

I know this is late but I couldn't really wrap my mind around all this. Mr. Lydon always came across to me as great man and a father who knew what he wanted in each of his children and John is just a spitting image of him. My heart goes out to John and the Family.
R.I.P Mr. Lydon. You will be missed.
