So I've recently been sorting through old tee shirts I never wear anymore (old band tee shirts, tee shirts from hot topic, a lot of my sex pistols tees) and thinking of ways I could reconstruct them to make them seem like new clothes again. Unfortunately, I got rid of a BUNCH of my sweet emo shirts that I had from my junior year last summer (i'm dumb!) so I can't recon a bunch that I remember I had.
However, I've found a bunch of sweet websites dedicated to the art of amateur sewing and made myself some gems. ohmystars.net is the website I found; I really want to try to make a tee shirt dress.
I've made a halter out of one of my pistols tees. (I'll post pictures soon). As well, I've made a halter out of my "I Love Irish Boys" tee shirt from Sophomore year of high school. Tomorrow some ribbon will be purchased and more tee shirts will be made awesome and pictures will be taken.
In the mean time, I made a denim skirt from an old pair of jeans, which made me feel crafty and awesome. It's easier than it sounds. Highly recommended.
