I often think looking at that video that I COULD have pulled that shirt OFF with little or no effort {insert wicked smile}...... As to Sid, if you read the book the road crew wrote from the 78 American tour you can get a window ONTO that bus and really see what happened........there is alot to discuss from that.......John tried really hard with Sid but there was some meanness exchanged too out of frustration on John's part (understandable of course)........that book is well worth the money though I am sure John doesn't think so (he only recommends HIS book  ) I LOVE the Longhorn show too, just wish it was the WHOLE show and not just 30 minutes of it.....John was and IS a helluva performer live |

I'd like to get it. I'm sure John tried what he could but with an addict as far gone as Sid was, and without Sid's wanting to get off the heroin, it had to be an impossible and terribly frustrating situation. Yes it is indeed. That book is well worth the money, and you can't help but like Monk (road manager) for trying so hard to help Sid. Sid did want to be clean I think, just had no will power. John tried, in his young way, to make Sid mad enough, put him down enough, to make Sid say "NO that is NOT me" but it didn't work. It only drove Sid to feeling more worthless and less in control. Sid himself stated on film "I don't want to be a junkie" and then (on film) went on to describe in horrible detail how awful dope sick is. John has been quoted as stating that he himself had a terrible cold on that entire tour but said "how could I complain compared to what Sid went through?"............it was terribly sad. And somewhat sweet that John thought of him so affectionately despite everything between them......... |

I love the Longhorn gig!!! yes, I really love it!!  John was great!!( well, he´s always great!!) and the winking scene fills my eyes with tears of joy, imagining that that smiling wink is for me, Oh God he looked so damn cute doing that!! ;D ( now, that´s kinda weird right, but that´s what happens to me when watching any video of John...  ) John looked soooooo SEXY with that outfit  God I´m getting too excited talking about this... What can I say the Pistols did a GREAT concert back then in Dallas!!! |

Just got a copy of this (okay so I'm a little behind in the DVD department ) I love that John literraly gets his shirt ripped off. Love Steve taunting the audiance. My fiance and I watched it and all we kept saying is "love to see Greenday play to that audiance!" I somehow got a Portaguese edition. The extras are two videos (taken from the Swindle) and a Bio of the band. The extras are the same all regions. |

I think I prefer the Longhorn show over Winterland because it's more intimate. |
