No problem with Michael here and I hope he gets to RIP but there`s something I hate the most than to see those soo- called fans putting pictures of him on webpages and saying how they`d cried whe they found that he died... like one I know from a photolog page (a page where you upload pictures and people comment on it..) I got a bit sick of reading about her feeling sad about Michael (I have this girl in particular .. that`s why I mention her) I thought.. now that Mike is dead he`s got lots of so called nº1 fans.. but when I checked her archives I saw NO picture of Michael Jackson that she could have dedicated... what I meant with this thing is.. when some icon dies then we are all nº fans but cry for him but while he was alive we couldn`t give a damn about he man`s music.. I hate that attitude with people... Sorry for the rant but I thought I had to share it.. it`s that some people like that pisses me off... Yes. I agree. So many that before called him "Wacko Jacko" are now dedicated fans. Sigh. I have said it before and I will say it again. Love the stars you grew up on. Don't forget them. If you do you will feel SOOOO bad when you lose them. Rev Al Sharpton says all that needs to be said

I have always liked Michael's music and I got very sad when he died but I'm not saying that I'm his fan number one just because he passed away. I think Michael deserve all the attention he get, but some people that for example called him "Jacko Wacko" before, now say they are his number one fan and post pics of him everywhere and write RIP & I LOVE YOU MICHAEL on their msn is just..... wtf

Honestly, from the very beginning I assume he might not have really died. What do you think of it? I think there are many strange things about his death - and it could be quite possible cuz of many reasons. Well, wherever he is now, wish him the best.

Michael is gone but just like every other performer of that caliber there are going to be rumors and innuendos that he is still here. Watch the memorial video. Watch his little girl. Michael is gone.
As a nurse I would just like to say that there was NO reason WHATSOEVER for Michael to have had a doctor order Diprivan in his home. THERE IS NO ethical reason for this. If he has that drug in his system when the autopsy results are presented, Michael was MURDERED. DAMMIT why do doctors allow GREED to kill their patients. Michael was an innocent victim of addiction to pain medications, something that commonly happens to those with chronic pain as he had. The doctors are supposed to PROTECT their patients.

One more thought that comes to mind as I watch on the Discovery channel a documentary on the life of Joseph (John) Merrick, The Elephant Man. Mr. Merrick was judged on the prejudice of his time but he was a brilliant, kind, and gentle soul. The world saw him as deformed, a freak, grotesque, yet his words, his writings are some of the most compassionate and brilliant of his generation, are indeed AHEAD of his time. Mr. Merrick was a creative individual who, near the time of his death, made the Victorian world see the man behind the biologically imposed mask. So sad that all these years later, the same mask would be so perplexing to our "modern" world when worn by the creative, kind, and compassionate man known as Michael Jackson. When Michael expressed interest in the Elephant Man (Mr. Merrick), the world expressed horror that one freak would wish to own the bones of another freak. Sad and pitiful it is that the world did not realize that it was THEY who were the freaks. Michael simply had empathy with another brilliant, kind, and creative soul that was misunderstood by our cruel and taunting world. Who among us thought of The Elephant Man when we so jokingly giggled "Wacko Jacko"? He was different so he was demonized.
So many on the internet have condemned Mike to hell without any understanding of the man. So many have passed judgment on a sweet, kind, and innocent soul. I wonder how many of those people have watched the famed Elephant Man movie and gaped at the cruelty of Victorian society. I wonder how many did not see the parallel between themselves and their jeers with that backward world? I bet Michael Jackson and Joseph Merrick are having a helluva conversation above us now. And I bet they are both among the most beautiful of the Angels. And I bet they both still have forgiving hearts. I wish this world would catch up and evolve to be as they were when they were here.

I figured I should weigh in on this. As most of you know (or maybe not) I'm a former gymnast and ballet dancer. It sounds so silly, but so many of my routines (floor routines and contemporary ballet performances) involved Michael Jackson-like moves. I can remember one ballet dance I did when I was 13 that included a series of MJ-inspired pirouettes, followed by falling to my knees. And this is even more random, but I was reminded of it when I read one of my favorite webcomics recently: when I was young, I would try to imitate Michael Jackson (this was just after I'd started ballet classes) and I would get really, really dizzy spinning and throwing myself around (100% sure, the whole time, that I looked just like him). Eventually, I decided that Michael was such a good dancer and didn't get dizzy because he had a magical power that kept the fluid in his brain stable ... and that he had more of this fluid (I thought it was blood at the time) than me and that he knew how to move in time with it so he didn't get dizzy and fall over like I did.
It's funny now to think about these things. I was so little for most of his great career and it's sad that I only ever knew him as the notorious Michael Jackson. It makes me sad that NOW people come out of the woodwork, calling him a genius, saying they never believed he was guilty of the crime he was accused of. To hear those things when he was alive probably would have helped him a great deal.
I'm not pretending to be a big fan of his; I do like his music but I rarely listened to it after the age of 14 (when I used "Black and White" as a song for a gymnastics floor routine, one of my last) on my own accord. But when I really think about it, the two largest areas of my life that I was obsessed with, gymnastics and ballet, were so strongly influenced by Michael Jackson.
He made a huge impact on pop culture and that's amazing. I never realized how much he had influenced my life, but now I do and I'm sad I never got the chance to let him know this beforehand. Sometimes, only when you think really hard and focus in on your life do you notice how deeply one pop culture figure has affected you.
(Also, I need to point out this AMAZING fact I found out - did you know that Michael donated ALL the money he made from his tour in, I think, 1992 to children's charities? And that almost 1/3 his touring money that he made as an adult he donated to children's charities otherwise. Regardless of his behavior or how strange he was, he clearly cared deeply about the world and yet, never made a huge deal about how much money he gave to charity, unlike some celebrities. I respect that.)

And if you post one more post about how "sweet and innocent a soul" Michael Jackson has I am going to PUKE. Can you stop this and get back to other topics, this is beginnng to look like a Jackson memorial board.

I don't think Mish was saying you accused anyone on the board. I think she was just making the point that she was not Michael's biggest fan but that his death still affected her because she realized all the ways he had influenced the dance and music that she is around every day. Also, karma for you Mish for mentioning Mike's charitable contributions, mostly those that involved helping children! He gave way more than any other entertainer and kept most of it private just as you pointed out.

He was the biggest pop star of our time and he died suddenly and unexpectedly. I would think any message board community would have discussions on his death. I am well aware you do not agree with my comments Shan. Let's leave it at that, shall we?

Yes of course I know that every message board and myspace and facebook and twitter has been all over this. My point was that this is the only forum I have come across where only one view point is acceptable. I don't believe that most of your members agree with this view point, I just believe that you have made it clear that no other view is welcome HERE. I find that very disappointing since your Mr. Rotten is such an advocate of freedom of speech and opinions. Liz, this comment is directed only to you and while I could have sent it in a PM or phone call I am not going to do that. YOU asked me to come here. You completely choose to ignore all the facts I have sent you even before he died about those child molestation cases. You always say the kid was bribed or coerced. Have you even READ them? If you had you would know that that isn't the case. The odds against it are astronomical considering the kind of information they contain. You always do this. You want to believe what you want to believe and you will argue it come hell or high water but you won't listen to any opposing FACTS. How many people no longer chat with you due to the whole Columbine thing? I have supplied you with facts over and over that those two psycho kids were not bullied but that isn't what you want to believe. Now you have told me that you have actually lost a good contributer to this board over this sh*t. You seriously need to think a little more before you post. Consider all opinions valid and look at the FACTS before you open your mouth or hit your keyboard. That is all I have to say.

To Shan: since you directed your comments at Snoogs (I call her that) .. I have to say this to back her up. A long time ago, Snoogans used to be obsessed with John "Rambo" Stevens (John Lydon`s beest friend and bodyguard) .. I didn`t like Rambo and I made i known on this board creaing a threat about it.. gues what?? I`m still here and she didn`t insult me for thinking differently (expcept for one poster who took the threat a bit seriosly and Snoogs had to remove her posts...) .. I`m still here on the board... .. I think that you are getting her wrong... About the poster who left the board.. I know about her.. and she has posted on the board under a different name before and left the board for some stupid excuse (not having anything to do with Michael Jackson) , then she rejoined under the name name she had before leaving now and she used the same excuse .. with the Michael Jackson threat.. and I bet that if she back you up Snoogs would have accepted her opinion.. she didn`t.. Snoogs didn`t ask her to leave... noone asked to leave...

Consider all opinions valid and look at the FACTS before you open your mouth or hit your keyboard. That is all I have to say. I know you feel as strongly about your opinions as I do mine. I also know that you feel you have the information to back it up. But you see, dear, all the information the media releases is tainted or "leaked" for a reason in my opinion. I just don't feel that your case is any stronger than the evidence against it. Not when weighed equally. And you are right. I HAVE lost IM buddies over my strong opinions and board members as well from time to time. But no one who TRULY believes in what their beliefs are will change them just because they are unpopular, you know that. How many Christians died in the Roman Colosseum? <---point Shan will get but everyone else will be like "what the fuck?" I don't think I would be worth a shit as a friend or as a human being if I just changed my personal opinions to go along with what the person I am chatting with at the time thinks. That is pretty lame in my view and you wouldn't still be around me if I did that either. Differences make the world go around. To me, Michael just never seemed capable of the evil being laid at his feet. He still doesn't. Columbine is a different thread, lets keep it that way.
