Recent news articles (unsubstantiated) state that he has a MRSA infection to the face and is not in good health. What is your opinion of Mr. Jackson. I have mine but would like to see if any here agree, disagree and what is your reasoning. I do not feel he has ever abused a child in any way. I do believe he was horribly abused as a child and therefor does not trust adults. I think Mike is the last of the innocents true. A good guy that we will all have to account for our treatment of someday somehow. Argue? Agree? Do tell, lets get some DISCUSSION going here. Shonie? WHIZZER? You guys are very opinionated and you know I respect you. Mish? You are back now. Johnnysgirl, Lisse, Seaside, Joan D. , Sydney, ANY new member, ANY member. What do you think? Even if you are not familiar with the music you have to pretty much be familiar in some since with the man..........too much media for otherwise...........

I have conflicting opinions on Michael Jackson. While I don't think he necessarily ever abused any of the kids who accused him, did he possibly make them uncomfortable? Possibly. I don't know. I love the man's music; I'm not a huge fan, but I've always really liked a lot of his early music and he was a very cute guy when he was younger... normal looking.
He definitely did have an abusive child - his father admitted to hitting him, but never "beating him" which is like, WTF are you kidding me? I think he is sort of stuck in that like 10-12 year range of his emotional maturity and that's what gets him in trouble. And because he was so famous and hid it so well for so long, that's why people don't understand and think he's a freak. In reality, I think if he had had proper therapy and counseling when he was younger, he wouldn't be in the situation he is in - both health wise, career wise, and regarding whatever he has done to his face (which is incredibly sad in itself.) I think that someone in his life should have helped him years ago and didn't. But then, I also think he has the ego of a spoiled child (as he is, maturity wise, a child) so that is probably why no one was able to help him.
So again, I feel conflicted about Michael Jackson and I worry about how well his kids are being taken care of - do they go to school? Are they tutored/home schooled in some way? Will they be socially normal? Those kind of things are what worry me, because I realize that at this point, MJ is just the way he is and no one is going to be able to change that - he's always going to be eccentric. However, I worry about his kids because their lives are so strange and the level of infamy/fame that MJ has is not necessarily conducive to a good home life for children. But that's just my opinion.
Random: I actually do believe he has vitiligo (I don't know if that's how you spell that?). I don't think it was skin bleaching as in some of his old videos, you can see patchiness to his skin, especially on his arms.

Random: I actually do believe he has vitiligo (I don't know if that's how you spell that?). I don't think it was skin bleaching as in some of his old videos, you can see patchiness to his skin, especially on his arms. I agree completely. Michael it seems to me wishes desperately to stay forever young, forever 12 years old. Why do you think he had all the plastic surgery on his face? Look at the pictures of Disney's Peter Pan cartoon. That is what he is trying to look like. He named his ranch "Neverland". I think Michael so much wants that story to be true and wants to believe it is possible to stay forever a child. I think he will be and has been a great parent until the kids begin to "outgrow" him. Then I think if he can't keep them in the mindset he is in, he will almost mourn their loss to him. I think adults to him have just become so untrustworthy and abhorrent for the most part that he would just rather retreat into his own fantasy land than live in their world. I think you are right, he probably did make more than one kid feel uncomfortable. It would probably make any kid feel uncomfortable to have a man of Mike's age try to play with them as a equal/peer. But I don't think he is guilty of anything or any wrong doing. I don't think he is capable of that. And I also think he truly does have vitiligo. I am not the hugest fan of his either, but I do love many of his songs and respect him greatly as a singer and performer. All my best wishes are with him if he is indeed sick physically. He will, sadly, never be well mentally. That has been taken forever away from him.

I've never thought that Michael was guilty. He might have wanted to sleep in the same bed as the boy but he acts like a child, and when someone slept over at my house when I was younger we used to sleep in the same bed. I think Michael just thought about that as a natural thing. But a friend of mine watched this documentary, there many people who know Michael said that they thought he was guilty. So figure, they DID KNOW HIM, we don't.... So that really made me wonder! but I don't know what to think. And I'm also worried about his kids.... Isn't it weird that the kids are white? He has said that it is his biological children, right? And Michael is or WAS a black man, so the kids can't have all white skin.

Anyone who would talk to a documentary film crew on this subject I doubt very seriously are close friends of Michael's---therefor I would not put much truth to what they say. The mother of the children is white so it is very plausible for them to have light skin but of course I don't know the details. Michael shields his children very well from the public eye.

Yes you might be right, I shouldn't say anything yet because I haven't watched the documentary, but I think I will. He's father has been interviewed but he's an asshole, so I don't really trust what he say. I think he was in this documentary my friend watched. I know the mother have white skin, but I don't think it's normal that the child get all white, maybe something in the middle, Not black, but not white either. Well I don't know

LIAR.........that man physically and sexually abused Mike and made him the emotional cripple he is today. FUCK HIM. How DARE he comment on Mike. In ANY way. Same to the mother Katherine. BITCH. I hope they rot in hell. Harsh, true, but I hate that kind of poor excuse for a human.

I agrre with Snoogs about Michael`s parents.. his father abused him as a child.. but what`s worse.. when Michael became famous as a child he was made to work on the music (when he was with his brothers) Michael couldn`t live his childhood because he had a carrier... and his father wouldn`t let him do what he wanted... so I guess I`m sorry for Mike in that aspect...

I feel awful for him, I just read about Mike on the internet and his parents have really been horrible to him, you can't even describe how bad parents they are I knew his father had been an asshole to him but I didn't know ALL this, the abuse, etc. Horrible.

Madonna was quoted as saying she can't stop crying. Neither can I. This is just so sad. Michael was a beautiful person. The conflicted responses from fans I have seen so far on the internet tonight at work make me think of the quote Priscilla Presley has on display at Graceland around all of Elvis's old jumpsuits. "Do not judge me unless you have walked in my shoes" is what it basically says. So true and it stands true for Mike too. I will never forget the first time I heard him sing. The song was Ben and I think it is still one of the most poignant I have ever heard. That story about a lonely misunderstood kid and his equally misunderstood pet is just so beautiful and sad. Alternately, my favorite song by him, Happy, is soaringly joyous. I hope Michael will be remembered for the beautiful soul he was and remains. There could be no greater talent more well deserved in this world. RIP Mike, you will be so very missed.
