Here's a story from the movie 'Who Killed Nancy' by Glen Matlock's ex-flatmate, regarding Sid, a cat and his leather belt:
"One night I went round and saw Sid, and there was a cat that was in the flat. And for no reason he decided to put a noose around the cat and hang it up in front of me...
...it didn't last long as far as ticks on the clock but it seemed like an eternity. The cat was struggling and was trying to get away but obviously it couldn't. It was whining. It was absolutely fighting to get away and just before it passed away, it urinated and defacated right on his feet. Sid was holding it in front of me. I utterly regret not stopping him doing that. Why he did that, I don't know. I have no idea, it's the most disgusting thing that I have seen in my life. If I could have my life over again, I would've stopped him from doing it. It was horrible...
...we finally put the cat in a plastic bag and took it to the bin downstairs."

It really doesn't surprise me, Sid had a lot to live up to back then. He would've done anything, tbh.

He even put that in My Way (the line "I killed a cat"). No surprise here either. I have always thought that Sid had Reactive Attachment Disorder and killing animals is common for those kids.

I know about the line but I've never really thought it was true until I heard the story. Maybe it's because I don't want to believe it.
It recently happened here that someone killed and tortured a cat, it's horrible...

I believe he did, but I also believe he wasn't in the right state of mind at the time. IE, speed. When you're speeding, a lot of the time you aren't really aware of what you're doing until it's done. The fact alone that he remembered doing that all the way to when he was rewriting "My Way" leads me to believe he probably felt guilty about it.
I recall reading something written by a girl that had known him a tad bit before he was in the Pistols. She worked at a chips shop, and he would show up there almost daily just to play with the stray cat that lived there.
Just my pence, is all.

That's what I thought too, I've never thought he was in the right state of mind, etc. I've seen the Sid Vicious family album and he look so happy with the pets in it and I've heard many times that he liked animals and also children so I didn't expect he had done something like this. But yeah, drugs can make you do stupid things.

Also, I found that article I was talking about earlier: www.prettysick.co.uk/HowToMakeFriends.html
