I happened on the following on the web today. Thought others might like to know John is doing well, riding the bus & grocery shopping. . . .

Anarchy in the MDR

Taking a walk in my Marina del Rey neighborhood today, I ended up behind this orange-and-plaid-clad bloke with orange hair and multiple earrings. He had just gotten off the bus with a few small bags of groceries. I’ve seen him and his groceries here on the street before. Although the beefier presence is deceptive, my grocery-toting neighbor is John Lydon, a/k/a Johnny Rotten, frontman for The Sex Pistols and the former Public Image Ltd.

Normally, I would never post about a “c-word” sighting. What makes this newsworthy, however, is the incongruence of having Johnny Rotten, who made his name, his reputation, and his career on being angry and edgy more than on his musical talent or anything else, living in a place that is known for being laid-back and anything but angry and edgy.

The next time I run into John/Johnny, I will try to say hello, and ask him for an impromptu mini-interview. I want to know whether he is now living an idyllic, anger-managed life by the sea. Hopefully, he won’t lose his temper.

Ohhh who wouldn`t go to some shop with him?

And I agree Snoogs... it`s annoying when someone tryies to annoy you trying to get an interview you get out of a bus... but who knows how John would react

Saw this, am torn between being cross at the person who took the picture for invading his privacy like that and thinking its really cute i am totally intrigued by his normal everyday domestic existence! that probably makes me weird but we only ever get to see public john, either when he's on stage or being interviewed, he's probably completely different i guess i have no right to go on about invasion of privacy, given what i just said but still, i'd love to know what hes REALLY like only nora, and maybe his family and/ or rambo know that i guess.

I am the same way. I hate for him to be "invaded" but those are my absolute favorite pictures to see. Poor John....and I want more on him and Rammy (my pet name for Mr. Rambo ---I even had the audacity to tell him that )

I always wonder how nora and rambo get along... IF they get along if my significant other spent more time with one of his mates than with me i'd be a bit worried but nora seems pretty formidable, rambo's probably scared of her i've seen more than a couple of youtbe clips in which john says she hits him with frying pans he may or may not have been joking ....

I have heard she is not that fond of him, but I think after all this time they both realize the other serves a purpose essential in John's life. However... I would bet there are tensions. Yes John has always said he and Nora are very volatile with each other then say they are sorry. I think she does exactly what she wants and he either takes it or leaves it. I think in that relationship she is more dominant but also plays the caregiver role when the Raminator isn't around. Whenever that is Very interesting triad. ;D

'interesting' would be the exact word i'd use for it too ;D and yeah iv'e read quite a few interviews where he's said how much they argue, but make up afterwards i'm sure there's some pretty explosive arguments in their house lol!

Stubborn? John? You don't say Well she must be able to keep him in his place anyway! I find it hard to believe she puts up with him spitting and swearing and being rude all the time at home Nora must have been born sometime in the early 1940s (1942/3?) given that she's supposedly in her mid/late 60s now. Although I don't think anyone knows for definite how old she is. I think she's 13 or 14 years older than Johnny but I don't know for sure. She sure as hell doesn't look it anyway! I can only hope I look that young when I'm in my 60s!
