GOOD GOD what is GOING ON here? How many more celebrties are going to die this week. This is getting scary

For those that don't know, Billy Mays is a pitchman (advertisement dude) that has been on TV yelling at us to buy Oxyclean as well as any number of gadgets here in the US for over 10 years. He passed away yesterday at his home in Florida, he was 50 years old. I am just in shock.

Yeah this is really hitting me hard. I recall so vividly back in the late 1990s this man made me break my toe trying to get to the damn TV to mute the volume. Anyone that can elicit that kind of reaction over a peace of garden equipment will be way way missed. RIP Billy, I never knew how much you were a part of my TV enjoyment, never dreamed I would miss you this much, and will have no damn clue what I need to buy now.

I am going to bring this back briefly to bitch on a soapbox This man sold BILLIONS of dollars worth of products (yeah sure he bullied alot of us into buying shit we didn't need but that is a great talent ) and now some companies want to pull his ads due to cocaine being found in his system. FUCK THEM. He wasn't advertising cocaine (but he probably could have). He was advertising a fucking Mighty auger or Oxyclean or Mighty Putty or whatever the hell. What the FUCK does that have to do with his private life. Many people use or drink or whatever but we still BUY shit DICKHEADS Why must a person be forever known for faults? Some of my favorite musicians and actors succumbed to drug abuse, suicide, reckless driving, fucking and so many other "vices" and for all time they are tagged with the way they DIED rather than how they LIVED.

I honestly think someone could win the Nobel Prize, come up with a cure for cancer, secure world peace, and make first contact with an alien race and STILL if they died of something "unsavory" none of that would matter. And that sucks. Doesn't say much for global intelligence in my opinion.
