Thanks for posting that Fuggle, I had never seen the movie but now I want to  Some of the characters remind me of Sue Catwoman  I am sure that was intentional considering Caroline Coons involvement .......I will be looking for this.....if anyone else has seen it, what were your impressions? |

I've seen it. It is INCREDIBLY hard... no scrarch that, impossible to find on video, as it was never officially released as a video. There are people lobbying for it to be released on DVD, but IDK if we'll ever see it happen. They used to show this really late at night on VH1, like at 1 AM. I watched it when I was about 7, 8, or 9, i can't remember. I don't remember it that much, unfortunately, I know it was funny to me at the time.
Some people have bootlegs of it, i tihnk, so there are very low quality tapes of it out there, but I've searched and searched and have never been able to find it, despite my wishes that I could, desperately.
I know it's a favorite movie on Courtney Love.

Never saw it. Never even heard of it until now which is incredible as I have been a fan of Diane Lane's for many many years. Speaking of Soo, does anyone know what she's up to and looks like these days? Wonder if she's still sporting any part of that original look of hers from back in the day. she has a myspace, but no recent pictures as she's uncomfortable with it. but you can read about her and she's very down to earth, very sweet. Oh and it is a legit account, so no worries. www.myspace.com/soocatwoman .... (Also through there, you can be a pseudo-myspace stalker and check out her two children; she has them in her top 8 and used to advertise her son's band, nona.) |

The highlight of this movie is Steve Jones' acting, he doesn't get too many lines though, but as he said on his show he hates remembering long lines anyway.  The Stains got to play Steve's guitar and Paul Simonon's bass! There was one great quote in the movie, Billy: "I like you hair..." Corinne:"Yeah?..What else do you like?" Billy:"That's it...I mean at the moment you're just hair, aren't ya?" |

 Wow!!! Thank you so much for posting this, Elisabeth! Watched a bit of it so far, and it's great - in addition to seeing Paul & Steve, Diane Lane is fantastic as always! Plus the vintage clothes, cars, furniture, etc. is all so very nostalgic! Planning on watching it straight through first chance I get. Thanks again!!!

It was FABULOUS for many reasons, including: 1. Diane Lane's performance - she was so talented from such an early age. She really captured the spirit of that teenage punk angst without making it look cliche. 2. I loved how strong and free-thinking Diane's character was, how she told Billy off when he asked her to travel with him "what am I supposed to be, your groupie!!" He was cute, but that girl had her own goals and aspirations, thank you very much! I wish there were more films like these for young girls to role model from 3. Jonsey and Cookie's acting performance - I loved when someone (can't remember who) yelled "bullocks!!!" during one of the argument scenes. And let's not forget the big '80s hair on both of them!!! 4. The music, of course. 5. The nostalgic scenery - only, was this really western Pennsylvania like they claimed? Didn't look it to me... I'm sure I'll be watching it again soon - Kudos to you for posting, Elisabeth! |
