Obviously no one else on the list has seen it so I will say what I think of it. This film is a sad window into the lives of young women in the underprivileged abused section of society. I work with the damaged portion of society and it is a privilege to watch a woman like Precious fight tooth and nail and totally street for her sanity and dignity. This young lady is nobody's victim. She survived and is a beacon of hope for her children. I admire her so much. Her mother is a victim, but not Precious. I highly recommend this film and Monique deserved her Oscar. But the young lady who played Precious was even more deserving for her first ever acting job. Every cast member let down their egos to just portray a worthwhile and inspirational story. Rare in this day.

I loved this film. She is a complete inspiration. I am so tired of lives like hers being whitewashed by groups like I usually come from.

Has anyone seen this film? If so what did you think? Just watched this with my boyfriend and I am not sure what to think. I love her she is so strong. But I can kind of understand her Mom in a weird way too. Very amazingly powerful film. I also think it could perform under the bullies section. What do you think Mrs. F., Erich? |
