Went to The World's End on the Kings Road during my lunch break to pay my respects. Felt wrong not to.

Above all else he was an entertainer and I will miss him, and so should you." ~John Lydon What a wonderful quote from John. Having been at work for the last several days, I can not say how shocked I was when I read the headline. Malcolm was a true original and one of the best to understand marketing and humor. I never hated him, he was fun and he had style.

On the day of Malcolm's passing John called LBC Radio in the early hours. I'm kicking myself because I missed the show but my mother tuned in and telephoned me all the details. Apparently John sounded quite cut up about it, even though he was his usual self.

Oh, I would really love to hear when John said that on LBC Radio...
At least he got older than Sid but yeah, cancer is a horrible sickness. I must admit that I got shocked when I heard about this. I'm not a fan of him at all but I'll give the devil his due, because he also helped bring punk to the foreground... Rip..

Through Liz I have really come to respect his humor and greed RIP Malcolm, try to let God get off easy up there.

You certainly can't discount his influence. I like his early hip-hop stuff, too.
A poster at another forum says that he and John quasi-reconciled a few months back, but I wonder if that's true...John hasn't mentioned it in any of his commentary on Malcolm's death.
