Prolific American film reviewer Roger Ebert has finally posted his September 1977 screenplay for what was to be The Great Rock 'N' Roll Swindle. Titled Who Killed Bambi? it is an early draft that featured the Pistols as the main actors when they were all still attached to the project as a working unit, with softcore big tit perv Russ Meyer as director, and before Julien Temple turned it into the (crap but enjoyable) farce that it eventually became. Very interesting to see how it is 100% different to the finished product, and has some great dialogue from John, and a sex scene with Sid and his mom (who was to be played by Marianne Faithfull). Not sure what I prefer better, but it's best to ask P&V member J. Rotten as she read the whole thing in the space of two hours. Click for screenplay.
