Oh we have all heard it. Here is the evidence to judge for yourself (on both the music and the sanity of those presenting these arguments ). This dude preaching on this first post is my dude Jeff Godwin. I have a few of his fruitloop books. Bless his heart he thinks some rock stars are really demons (not possessed but actual demons) for example Angus Young (AC/DC) and Marc Storace (Krokus). If he is serious and not a caricature he is a very sad individual and possibly crazy. I love Jeff. Part I Just do recall that Robert Johnson is the true Godfather of Rock. He presumably sold his soul to Satan at the crossroads for the talent to play guitar and blues like no one ever had before. He had Hellhounds on his Trail per his own music and reportedly died on his hands and knees barking like a dog at age 27. Did he really sell his soul? Who knows. On this thread we will explore this and more. Should be a fun thread for both sides of the equation

Niccolo Paganini was a violinist of the late 1700s/1800s. Because of how fast he could play his instrument he was considered by many of that time to have sold his soul to the devil Robert Johnson style. In order to play in one venue of the day, he had to bring a note from his Mother stating that Satan was not his father. No joke. When he died he was not allowed to be buried in a cemetery for four years due to continuing suspicion about a pack with the Devil. I suppose he was the first bona fide Rock star. Rock guitarists today often play his works as a measure of their ability. Niccolo Paganini

Paganini has influenced many guitarists too from Jason Beck to Yngwie Malmsteen to myself . Here are Jason and Yngwie with some examples. Yngwie cited Paganini as his greatest influence, you can see the influence here
