Poly Styrene's official twitter has confirmed: "We can confirm that the beautiful Poly Styrene, who has been a true fighter, won her battle on Monday evening to go to higher places." RIP!

I can't believe this. I read all these rumors that she had passed away but I didn't want to believe it until it got confirmed officially. And now it is. I'm in total shock and has spent the last hour just listening to X-Ray Spex and crying

Of course that doesn't mean it's not devastating but you know Poly's up there in a better place, free of pain, happy as fuck and piloting her UFO through the cosmos eternally.
