I suppose no one is surprised by this, but that takes nothing away from the fact that it is a waste of enormous talent. Now we are just waiting for the inevitable mention of the "27 club".

They've been mentioning the '27 Club' ever since the news broke yesterday afternoon. I'm not saddened nor am I surprised at Amy's passing, but I do understand the loss to the music community - she had a fantastic voice.

I've heard quite many of her songs and I always thought that I needed to buy some of her CD's because I'm very into the jazz and soul sound. And her voice was truly amazing, she kinda reminded me of Dinah Washington. Unfortunately now it's too late to appreciate her. It sickens me to see how many people on the internet suddenly go all "OH NO AMY WINEHOUSE!!!! RIP" when they really didn't give a shit about her when she was alive.
