Ha ha, Jesus gone disco, Barry should have played Christ in this musical: The whole "Lydon family" seems to like Bee Gees, as Ari Up said: "People like Jimi Hendrix were hanging out at the house, or Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees. Every time he came to Munich he was fucking my mother. He used to play songs for me on his harmonica. Those were fond memories." Damn...........I loved Barry (always felt it was kinda........I dunno.........SINFUL to lust after Christ but dammit he looked MIGHTY good in them satan....er SATIN... tights ).............but that sucks that he cheated on Linda (wife since the sixties) with Miss Nora... ....I hope Miss Nora would never cheat on our Johnny Here is the most nostalgic of my Jesus-lust videos.......sounded like he had his balls in a vice (or was singing from the cross) but he looked DAMN good.......dammit www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncmRpJVmrxkTruth be told, I also had my own thing going for Barry and his tight jeans back in the day! :)Went to see the BeeGees in '79. They were great!!! But I agree with you Snoogs, I don't like the part where he cheated on his wife with Nora and God knows who else. >:(That's just not right!

True. Though as John stated, the real commitment is in the heart and he is thoroughly committed to her.... ....and apparently vice versa .........Not many couples last over 30 years any more 30 years is a milestone, that's true. But ya know what else is true, Snoogs, if they never made it legal? John's unmarried!!!!!! With Nora for 3 decades, yes, but he's single in the eyes of the law!!!!

I think you should go for it, Snoogs! After all, John's a single guy!! Plus Ms. Nora should fully understand, as she herself was involved with a bona fide married man when she got involved with Barry Gibb. What do the rest of you guys think???

I think you should go for it, Snoogs! After all, John's a single guy!! Plus Ms. Nora should fully understand, as she herself was involved with a bona fide married man when she got involved with Barry Gibb. What do the rest of you guys think??? I think that commitment to another person is in the heart and the mind, not on a piece of paper. Fact is that John says he made a commitment to Nora - what the government says doesn't matter at all. [ Of course, engaging yourself in little mind drifting fantasies involving what it would be like if he met you first is perfectly understandable. ] As for Nora & Barry: 1) Just because Ari said it doesn't necessary make it true; 2) If true, Barry was the one breaking the commitment, not Nora; 3) If true, just shows that Barry & his wife having a piece of paper didn't mean much - he must not have truly felt the commitment. My boyfriend & I have lived together for going on 28 years. While I may be legally "single" neither of us is emotionally single. And I have to say it annoys me when some of our friends push us to marry & "make it official", especially when some of them are divorced & re-married. I generally let it go, since I realize that we are the unconventional ones. The piece of paper from the state means nothing. If we got married (and that may happen) it would be for financial reasons (like inheritance tax), not because the paper would "force" us to be faithful to one another. Guess this is pretty far from bands that make you feel nostalgic! Here are some of mine (and I know I date myself): Herman's Hermits - "Mrs. Brown You've Got a Lovely Daughter" - takes me back to being a pre-teen & listening to the music my older sister was buying. Didn't know anything about boys, love, etc. but he sounded so sweet & sincere. This should give you a laugh - from 1965: www.youtube.com/watch?v=rI9LXhq_azc&feature=relatedLinda Ronstadt - "Long, Long Time" - when I first started dating my boyfriend, any time we had an argument, etc. I was convinced things were over, he didn't love me . . . . I'd play this over & over. I love depressing music. Linda singing it with Bobby Darin on guitar: www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJWEVTHRPXI&feature=related Joan

Duran Duran makes me very very nostalgic for the '80s. They were huge back then, their music was everywhere. I saw them in concert in '84. Then at my wedding reception the next year, the DJ got lots of requests for their music, so they remind me of my wedding (even thought I got married a couple years before they put out their Wedding Album!!!) Well, after learning they're playing Florida in May, we just got 4th row seats in front of one of the best looking guys to ever come out of England in my opinion, John Taylor. I can't wait to see them again, it'll be like deja vu! Should I wear my wedding dress to seal the deal, ha ha!!

I was almsot too late for a lot of the 90's stuff. Or I like to think so, atleast.
One that sticks out is my darling Aaron Carter. Yeah. Clapping Song by Aaron Carter. Before I knew of the original. Say it Ain't so by Blink -somenumber- And... Everything (?) by people...

It's never too late for 90s stuff. I was between the ages of 2 and 11 throughout the 90s, but I have vague memories of the songs on the radio as I was driven to soccer/gymnastics/ballet/t ball/various other practices as a child.

Mmm.. I´d say bands that makes me feel nostalgin are the Backstreet Boiys (I can´t regeret what I liked in my adolescens (sp?) ) but I was a fan.. oh.. and the Spice Girls... now kill me if you are ready.. a pop fan turned into a punk fan but I grrew up I think And even though I was born in the early/ mid 80s, I like A LOT of 80s songs... I remeber some Rick Astley songs that I mnust remeber as a little girl going to kindergarten...
