No, it was supposed to be a "Snoogs was confused now she knows it's YOU smiley" Yeah, I know...I meant that this board calls that a "Wink" smiley, but it doesn't look like he's winking...also why is the "Sad" smiley grinning like he's happy?

Yeah, I know...I meant that this board calls that a "Wink" smiley, but it doesn't look like he's winking...also why is the "Sad" smiley grinning like he's happy? Because NONE of them really match the intended symbol they represent so that a person has to pick one and not just type in the symbol That way you must look at them and notice them You know I have never understood that. Structured / rules-oriented person that I am, I looked at the little grinning guy ( ) saw that he was called "sad" & figured that isn't what I want. I don't use these much since I haven't wanted to convey the "wrong" emotion for what I was trying to express. Now you are saying the visual is all that counts - don't pay attention to what it says. That's why I love this site - you learn something all the time! I can be taught - it just takes time. Joan

Alright, I'll do the right thing and introduce myself before posting any more. I'm 25 and Swedish. I found this place through S4J who recruited me from the .net board. I've listened to the Pistols since I was 13, and had the privilege of seeing them at Sjöhistoriska muséet in the summer of -96. That was the first gig I ever went to and I've never looked back. Since then I've seen them four times - first three nights of Brixton last year and at the Peace & Love festival in Sweden this summer. I'm also planning to go to the Helsinki gig next weekend plus the one in Hammersmith at the beginning of September. Oh the joys of being all grown up and having an income. I would have killed to have been able to go to some more shows in -96, but no such luck. Anyway, I should add that I've checked out some of the stuff they've done since then (Psycho's Path, Professionals, Neurotic Outsiders etc.) but would never claim to be an expert. If anyone wants to know more - feel free to ask!

Hello! I'm eighteen from Australia, I just joined, this forum looks very very interesting, I am impressed at how many different boards there are! I think John is a very very interesting character, he is endlessly fascinating, (and hilarious) and very important to the history of rock'n'roll. Anyway I look forward to checking this place out more!
Oh yes, and I have sexy Sex Pistols fan fictions I would love to share once I have proved worthy to be admitted the password to the fictions board!!!
Best Emily
