Hi folks new here this board looks great, what can you possibly say about John that hasn't been said a million times already. well like this is the OFFICIAL introduction thread, I'll introduce myself here too hahaha
I'm 18 years old, I'm from Chile and I've been a John's fan since I was about 12, Through him I learned how to speak english, and he totally changed my life, he's an amazing and beautiful human being, not to mention he was my first crush hehe.
I'm not so good talking about myself without talking a lot about John haha

Oh, it was about time I found this thread. Stupid me.  My friends call me Angie, and I live in Bulgaria, not so big, but nice, even though no one gives a shit about good music here. I'm only 15 years old, which, I don't think, stops me from being a person with a point of view, because age ain't really nothing but a number. My english is awful, as everyone has probably already noticed... I've held most sincere love for John, The Pistols and PiL ever since I was ... I don't know, nine years old? I caught a video of theirs on a music channel here - God Save The Queen, I'll never forget it - and the first thought that came to me was "Oh my God, that guy with the red hair is soo cute" It was well after midnight, because punk, metal or rock aren't played earlier here. My schoolmates had always taken me for an outcast, I'd even get beaten up at school, because I was "filthy punk" as they called it. I didn't care, though, and I never stopped loving the Pistols...with all my little black heart. I think that expressing what you think, no more and no less, is an important quality for a human being. And that's what we're all trying to be, no? I almost ate my socks out of anger that I missed the Pistols' show in Greece. My father had a business trip at the exactly same date, but refused to take me to see the band of my life, because, frankly, he doesn't appreciate punk culture and music, just like the other, let's say, 80% of the people I'm surrounded by. I've learned not to mind people's opinion about me and just be myself. Sorry for the "short" introduction I gave, I couldn't stop. |

I'm 15 as well Don't worry for your daddy, at least you told him and he didn't cut you to pieces cos of loving the Pistols, really. My parents would do it, not cos of me being a punk and I'm not actually, they just think it's all the same with things like that. Well, but who cares? I don't give a fuck now I was just lucky enough to be able to travel to 2 shows on my own, here, Slovakia and Hungary. Wish they were back for the next year  Seems like we'll never stop loving them, well, that's only good & right & so brilliant |
