Everyone including Johnny says that Nancy tried to come on to/ go to bed with him and He refused and pushed her in Sid's direction. What I would like to know is-How did she come on to him?Was it subtle and he picked up on it or was she blunt about it? I have always wondered this...

Nancy was never subtle I recall reading in John's book that he said Nancy came up to him saying "I want to add you to my collection." And that he wasn't interested. However, I've been looking through his book to find the exact quote & haven't found it. I did find on page 135 where he mentions that "Nancy was a real pain in the arse, all over me." and "Initially I thought of her as a filthy cunt, which of course appealed to Sid. To be hated, loathed and despised so much by me, he naturally went for her. She being a woman of loose inclinations, reciprocated." I love John's choice of words "a woman of loose inclinations" - his book is a great read! Joan

His book was a great read. I loved it. I guess Nancy just laid it out on the line then. I think Nancy was a pretty girl, but I can see why Johnny was not interested. She was in no way his type. Or at least what I know about his type. So Nancy just came out and said "Johnny, I want to fuck you...." HE HE.? Seriously, is that how it went down? So it was probably one of the Plaster Casters or something (I love John's reply but I WOULD have liked for him to have been plaster castered )

I know this quote by Nancy (I think it was mentioned here before) which may throw some light on the matter: "Nancy: I slept in the same bed as John for two nights and he said to me 'You want it but you're not going to get it'. Don't you think it means that he just wanted to get into my pants? Record Mirror 8.4.78" Also in that Final 24 (or what it is called) about Sid, it is said that one night Nancy ended up on the floor between John and Sid and, as Malcolm states: "She rolled over to John and tried to fuck him and I think he wasn't cooperative and so she rolled the other way and Sid was" (thought this is kind of a Love Kills-like recollection, what does he know..).

Plus, I don't think she travelled to London at that time. She was more prevalent in the 60s and early 70s, quieting down in the late 70s and through the 80s. (I know a lot about Cynthia Plaster Caster. It's a long story as to why.) I've always thought that it was Sable Starr or one of the groupies who were hanging around the New York Dolls, Richard Hell, etc.

A long story as to how you know CPC? C'mon, Mish, spill the beans! How do you know her? I'm curious I wanna know about this too! I don't know her, persay. I know people who knew her and worked with her back in the day. CPC was never a full groupie, she had several "platers" or "fluffers" (aka blow job givers who would prep musicians for molds). I met one of the "fluffers" about two years ago and we talked for a long time about CPC's history and everything. Plus, I find CPC's story and art work (it's art, c'mon) really interesting, so I've done research on her for a paper. So through a series of various events (meeting a former fluffer, doing extensive research) I happen to know a lot about CPC. Never really met her, but I would love to. She's an interesting lady.

Hey there--I would love to know what anyone knows about John's "type." And info appreciated. I haven't read his book yet, but am planning to do so. I would imagine that his type would be more "original" a person than Nancy seemed to have been. Nothing against Nancy here, mind you, but she seemed to be a fairly typical groupie from what I know of her. I think John would probably have appreciated more of an individual. That's just my best--and hopeful--guess. Sorry if I'm hijacking this thread--don't mean to. His book was a great read. I loved it. I guess Nancy just laid it out on the line then. Well John said what attracted him physically to his wife Nora was that she was the blonde "femme fatale" and he said he always goes for that. Yes, he does love someone original. Nora was far from a punk and he mentioned that he loved how she dressed kinda 1940s and very stylish. She didn't imitate or copy. And you can certainly see that this is still so by any and all pictures of her. Oh so jealous am I of Miss Nora

Thank you for the info! I've never actually SEEN this Nora person--did a few searches for her on the web--nothin'. Perhaps there are pictures of her in John's book? So, Johnny like femme fatales, does he? Well, well, well...(polishing my snub-nose handgun and placing it in my alligator purse)... I envy the heck out of Nora! I wish I could inhabit her body for a while--both now and in the past. I'm sure Nora would need a break now and again, right, Nora?
