In the life of Mish:

--I just downloaded all the updates for my Mac that I've been putting off for probably at least 5 months. Now my browser does spellcheck. Holy snap.

--I'm learning German.

--I just got done playing poker and drinking coconut rum+orange juice+vodka. Yum.

--My dorm is swanky. My roommate never showed up (ha!) so I have it all to myself. Awesome.

--I'll be on the board more often from now on.

--My boyfriend and I broke up, but it's because I moved out of Oregon. Again. So we're cool. :] No beef, no fight, all good feelings.

How's everyone else doing??

.........I am horribly in debt now with a new car

.........I am TRYING (that being the optimum word) to have a long distance relationship with a boy very my opposite (well in SOME stand out ways) at least until March of next year

........I am having to renew my driver's license this week and probably will be too damn blind to pass

.........I STILL have not uploaded a video to Rammy's page {kicks self in ass}

.........I am STILL depressed as fuck I didn't get to go to Hammersmith

Also: I have to be laundry, but half my dorm building is still under construction so we don't have a laundry room. I have to go to another dorm. Waaaah.

In the life of Joan:

- - It's Saturday, so I'm doing laundry

- - I'm working too many 12 to 13 hour days during the week

- - My new boss commented after Labor Day that I work too late - but that must be because "I like it". So, I've started charging for the overtime.

- - In addition to my own job I now have a new engineer to mentor who just started on Monday

- - I'm thinking about requesting a switch to part-time for 2009. Don't know if that will fly, but I like to dream

- - One of the cats gets fluids injections twice a week because of her kidneys; the other cat is just getting over a urinary tract infection that has had her on antibiotics

- - Vet expects us to bring in a urine sample next week to check whether it is cleared up (Just don't see us following the cat to the litter box with a little cup - can't really ask her to do it herself)

- - Tuesday nights are "dollhouse" night & that's going great! This week "Mini Gunter Grove" got wired for the lights.

- - Spending most of my "free" time looking for building supplies or interior decorating items for Mini Gunter Grove.

- - The house is a mess - I'm trying to make myself care enough to do some cleaning

It's good to here that everyone is at least doing ok.

I just got done with my laundry. I had to take it basically across campus to another dorm that has offered to allow us to use their laundry machines. Oi vey.

I'll be sure to let you see the finished product. I think it's going to be a while though.

The basic structure is assembled now - walls & floors put together. We have the staircases built, but they aren't in the house yet. Now that the wiring is set, we need to work on the outside. I have the materials to lay the brickwork on. But we first have to finish the front entry stairs & front courtyard area - these weren't part of the dollhouse "kit", so we have to design & build on our own. That's the main project for Sept. 16th.

So still lots to do.
